About Magnolia, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Magnolia, Texas is a small city of about 1500 residents located on the outskirts of Houston. It was originally settled in the 1840s, and in its earlier days was known by several different names including Mink and Mink's Prairie. The city itself encompasses just one mile, but the Magnolia Independent School District, which is based in town, covers 147 miles of the surrounding area and is the second-fastest growing school district in the state.
Magnolia has a typical eastern Texas climate, with mild winters, wet springs and hot, humid summers. The city has plenty of wooded areas, and was formerly home to a thriving lumber industry. Today Magnolia residents and visitors alike enjoy the Stroll, a half-mile pedestrian walkway which connects Sullivan Park and the Sweet Magnolia Pickins Farmers Market to the north with Magnolia Sixth Grade Campus at the south. The Stroll features seating area, public art, and plenty of trees and flowering plants. Unity Park, which opened on July 4, 2010, features recreation areas, a nature trail, a pond and a large covered pavilion, and hosts events throughout the year such as the very popular Annual BBQ Cook-off each March. Other annual events include a christmas parage and Mardi Gras on the Stroll.
