About The Woodlands, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Woodlands, Texas is a planned community outside of Houston with a population approaching 100,000. It was established in 1974 by oil executive George Mitchell on land previously occupied by the Grogan-Cochran Lumber Mill, and incorporated in 2007. As a commercial area it has attracted businesses including Chevron Phillips, Anadarko Petroleum, Hewitt Associates, Huntsman, Maersk Sealand, Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Woodforest National Bank and Chicago Bridge & Iron. The Town Center offers shopping, restaurants and a waterway similar to San Antonio's River Walk featuring six enclosed, air-conditioned water taxis known as Waterway Cruisers.

The Woodlands community has over 6,000 acres preserved as green space, including parks, bike trails, playgrounds and nature trails. The Woodlands also has three country clubs: the Woodlands Country Club, the Club at Carlton Woods and Canongate at The Woodlands, which together offer a total of 135 holes of golf on seven courses which have hosted events such as the LPGA Samsung World Championship, the Shell PGA Houston Open, the USGA State Team Championships and the Administaff Small Business Classic. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion brings live music and performing arts to The Woodlands, and based on the number of tickets sold in 2012, it was rated by Pollstar magazine as second out of the world's top 100 amphitheaters. This status may be helped, in part, by the temperate climate, which means that outdoor activities are possible year-round with mild winters and warm, pleasant spring and fall temperatures. Summers can be hot, but Texans are used to that, and visitors are seldom deterred by the heat from enjoying all that The Woodlands has to offer.
